During this past Spring 2007, a Web Policy and Review Committee (WPRC) was formed to provide web site planning, policy and priority recommendations and to ensure that the new web site adheres to proper standards and procedures. Also, the committee will spearhead future directions of the District’s web presence and provide strategies for making the most effective use of the web site.

The WPRC, chaired by the Director of Communications has worked diligently over the first few months of the summer to design a completely new look and feel (appearance) for the official District web site, and we are confident that developing an appropriate online presence for the Winchester District will address prior concerns of the communities that we serve. Phase 1 of the development has been completed and all relevant information and links at the current site have been transferred to the new site and additional content and new links have been added. There are still a lot of content yet to be developed and other general updates to existing content, which are scheduled for Phase 2 of the development after rollout of the new site. 

It is with great pleasure that we announced the release of the new Winchester District, United Methodist Church web site.
