The Winchester District UMC Builders Club

White Post UMC Fall Call Update

As of December 13, 265 members have contributed $7,669.00 

The Builders Club reestablished in 1999 is sponsored by the Northwestern Virginia United Methodist Church Board of Missions of the Winchester District, which is a bonded corporation. The Builders Club is a voluntary group of laity and clergy who live out their commitment to mission by responding to a “call”. Club members pledge $20 or more to assist churches that qualify for building assistance with their construction projects. 

Existing Churches qualify upon written application for aid, with the recommendation of the District Superintendent, the District Committee on Church Location and Building, and the District Board of Missions. Newly organized churches automatically qualify for aid when they begin construction.

Members of the Builders Club have provided $116,936.00 to assist in construction projects at the following 14 churches across the district.

We currently have 576 members in the Builders Club which receive a call 2 times a year to meet the needs of churches on the Winchester District.

Our Goals for the Builders Club is to achieve a membership of 1000 and to have 100% participation in each call. This District Ministry has enabled churches to improve their facilities and further their ministries in each of their communities.
